Our first meeting
took place from 21 - 25 January in Cadiz with the IES Rafael Alberti School
being our host. 24 students from Germany, Romania and Greece traveled with
their teachers and followed the program that had been prepared by the host
school on the subject of "Transport and Mobility".
This is the
program that was followed:
First Day- Monday
All three teams
arrive in Cadiz and students meet the host families.
Second Day-
Tuesday
Presentations
about and activities concerning “mobility and energy” take place in IES Rafael
Alberti. Students and
teachers from all countries participate.
The parents of the
Spanish students offer breakfast with a variety of products enriched by local
flavours.
Also, sport
activities based on sports of each participant country are organised by the Spanish
school.

In the afternoon
we have a guided tour in the ancient part of the town where we learn many
interesting things about Cadiz history.
Third Day-
Wednesday
Excursion to
Tarifa. We visit a wind power plant park and have a presentation about energy
production and the functionality of the park. We also have the chance to get
inside a wind generator.
Next we visit the
museum and the ruins of the ancient Roman town Baelo Claudia in Bolonia west of
Tarifa.
We walk among pine
trees and end up to the sand dunes of the region. We enjoy the landscape and
the beauty of the Atlantic coast.
Fourth Day-
Thursday
We visit the local
authorities' building where we are informed about innovative projects regarding
the environment and sustainability in the region of Cadiz.
Next we spend all morning participating in nautical activities, getting to know environmental friendly means of transport.
In the afternoon
we all meet at the beach and spend some relaxing time together.
Fifth day- Friday
Day of departure.
All teams begin the travel back home full of new experiences.
We all enjoyed our
time in Cadiz! We have learned new things, we have exchanged information and
knowledge, we have increased our English skills, we have become familiar with
other cultures and the most important thing, we have made new friends with whom
we share common inspiration and objectives!
